How to Close a Customer Account

To close a customer account, edit the customer and open the Close Account tab {ALT + C}. Click the "Close Account" button to close the account. This will make the account inactive.

Note: closed accounts are automatically filtered out of search results, to see them in search you will need to uncheck "hide closed accounts."

How to Merge Customer Accounts

If the same person has opened multiple accounts, you can merge them and transfer customer points and credit to the new account while simultaneously closing the old one. 

Note: account merging cannot be undone, verify the accounts you choose to merge are correct.

To merge two customer accounts, edit the account to close and open the Close Account tab. Click "Find Account to Transfer Points and Credit" and search for the account to keep. The account you choose to keep will appear next to this button and be highlighted red.

To complete the merge, click the "Close Account and Transfer points/credit button." This will close the account being edited and transfer any points / credit to the remaining account.

Note: you can merge two instore accounts, or merge an instore account with a web active account, but not two web active accounts.
