FieldStack has 24 pre-defined roles that clients can choose from.  Clients can has any or all of these roles available to assign to employees.  These roles typically tie to an employee's job role.  Roles, combined with a Security Token, define what a user can do within the FieldStack application.

Below is a list of roles that are available for you to choose from.  In the example below, we have 7 of the 24 roles activated for this client.  These 7 roles are the ones that are available to assign to employees in the employee edit screen shown above.  If you'd like to add any of these roles to your FieldStack setup, please contact support (support@fieldstack.com) or your account manager.

TRUE OperationsManager This user level is intended for employees who oversee overall retail operations, such as a district manager.   This role can do all instore tasks, access security type reports and access performance reports.
TRUE Bookkeeper Bookkeeper can run reports needed for entry into accounting system.  Bookkeeper can also add and manage employee's in the system
TRUE BuyerAdvanced These users can manage vendors.  Users with this level can add and remove items from vendor orders and submit those orders to vendors.  These users also have the ability to edit items, manage promotions and do basic in store point of sale tasks.
FALSE BuyerLimited Users with this level can add and remove items from vendor orders and submit those orders to vendors.  These users do not have the ability to edit items or manage promotions.   They do have basic in store point of sale permissions.
FALSE BuyerBasic Users with this level can add and remove items from vendor orders and submit those orders to vendors.  These users also have the ability to edit items, manage promotions and do basic in store point of sale tasks.
FALSE StoreClerkAllOperationsL3 This level should be able to handle typical store operations.  These users  have the ability to operate the point of sale, print promotions and process marketplace orders.   The security token for this user will determine what functionality is available within the Point of Sale.   Please adjust that token to match the responsibilities that go along with a Level 3 employee.
FALSE StoreClerkPointofSaleOnlyL3 Users with this role can only run the Point of Sale.  Functionality within the Point of Sale is determined by the Security Tokens (send, receive, price override, etc).   The Security Token for this level should be adjusted to define the Level 3 role for your organiztion.
FALSE StoreClerkPointofSaleOnlyL2 Users with this role can only run the Point of Sale.  Functionality within the Point of Sale is determined by the Security Tokens (send, receive, price override, etc).   The Security Token for this level should be adjusted to define the Level 2 role for your organiztion.
TRUE StoreManager This level can operate the Point of Sale, print promotions, process marketplace orders and do some basic terminal configuration.   The Security Tokens for this user should be adjusted to fit the manager role in your organization.
FALSE MarketplaceClerk This level allows users to only process marketplace orders.
FALSE StoreClerkAllOperationsL2 This level should be able to handle typical store operations.  These users  have the ability to operate the point of sale, print promotions and process marketplace orders.   The security token for this user will determine what functionality is available within the Point of Sale.   Please adjust that token to match the responsibilities that go along with a Level 2 employee.

FALSE StoreClerkPointofSaleOnlyL1 Users with this role can only run the Point of Sale.  Functionality within the Point of Sale is determined by the Security Tokens (send, receive, price override, etc).   The Security Token for this level should be adjusted to define the Level 1 role for your organiztion.
FALSE Executive Users assigned to this level have full access to all reporting and functionality.  These users do not have store administration rights.
TRUE OwnerOperator Logins assigned to this level have all abilities, including terminal and location setups.
TRUE CompanyAdmin This user can set-up new terminals and new locations and access basic POS functionality.   This level is designed for technical support type personel.
FALSE MarketplaceManager This user can manager your online marketplaces.  They can update, fill, cancel, change prices, change items etc on marketplace orders.  Additionally this user can manage marketplace settings and handle content management on your web store.  This user also has basic buyer capabilities which allows them to order product that might be needed to fill a marketplace order. They can also edit items.
FALSE WarehouseManagerWithMarketplac This user can receive inventory into the system and send inventory out of the system to fill warehouse orders.   Additionally this user can fill and handle some marketplace order management tasks.
FALSE WarehouseManager This user can receive inventory into the system and send inventory out of the system to fill warehouse orders.  
FALSE WarehouseAdministrator This role can handle all warehouse functionality including marketplace order fulfillment.
FALSE WarehouseClerkWithMarketplace This user can receive inventory into the system and send inventory out of the system to fill warehouse orders.  Additionally this user can fill marketplace orders that are assigned to this location.
FALSE WarehouseClerk This user can receive inventory into the system and send inventory out of the system to fill warehouse orders.
FALSE WarehouseClerk_Send This user can send inventory out of the system to fill store orders.
FALSE WarehouseClerk_Receive This user can receive inventory into the system and handle related functions
