The Inventory Cost by Date dashboard offers a look at your monthly on hand values by a number of product groupings. It is a relatively self explanatory report. Use the filters to the right of the dashboard to narrow the data needed for your analysis. The KPIs at the top will give you totals for the filtered data & the pivot table allows you to include as few or as many of the groupings that are helpful to you. On Hand tables tend to hold quite a bit of data, so you may need to be patient while the data filters & then loads.
Note that in this report, negative on hand values are not available or included in the data. The monthly on hand values update at the beginning of each month.
You will need to select a single month in the Month Beginning Value filter - this will give you the values as of the beginning of that month (i.e. the end of the preceding month). Daily values are not available in this report. To filter for the Date, use the List and Days option - in this example, the on hand values are as of 6/1/24 (or the May month end values):
In the pivot table, you can right click in the header area to add or remove fields. Removing fields such as Location will collapse the number of rows for the item and give you an aggregated value. Adding fields such as Item Name or Type Name will expand the descriptions for the item.
The data table can be exported to work with the data outside the dashboard. Do this by clicking on the 3 dots at the top right corner of the widget, choose Download and export an image or file. The recommended file type for a spreadsheet is CSV.
