Bug Fixes 

  • Changing your primary payment method in Account Settings now take affect and will be the default payment method at checkout.
  • Purchasing an e-gift card as a guest with no mail class selected no longer throws a null exception.
  • Applying a tip at checkout after applying store credit no longer removes the applied credit.

Improvements

  • Added the ability to set a default og:image per brand
  • Removed duplicate element ID tags from Checkout.
  • Removed hidden elements from tabbing index, fixing the focus order at Checkout.
  • Removed role="listbox" attribute from Your Order element at Checkout.
  • Pulled the Gift Card section out of the table structure and made it non-collapsible.
  • Removed aria labels from images on the Checkout screen that do not need them.
  • Updated various Checkout elements that function as headings to be h2 and h3.

Accessibility Updates

  • Added helpful remedial dialogue when providing an invalid ZIP code or phone number to the Address Add/Edit form. For example, the remedial message for entering an invalid ZIP code will now read "Zip / postal code must have a valid numeric format (ex. 12345 or 12345-6789) "
  • Added missing aria-live="assertive" attribute to certain elements at Checkout. Screen Readers will now describe remedial dialogue as an alert, prioritizing its read order.
  • Added visual labels to the "Select a state / province" dropdown menu as Checkout.
  • Changed the aria formatting of the "Return to Homepage" from a button to a link.
  • Changed the color of the "In Stock" text for a better contrast ratio.
  • Changed the color of product rating stars for a better contrast ratio.
  • The main menu bar can be navigated using the keyboard.
    • Use Tab / Shift+Tab to navigate onto and out of the menu bar.
    • Use arrow keys to navigate between menu items.
    • Use Esc to exit out of a menu/submenu.
    • Use Enter/Space to navigate to a menu item's page/open a submenu.

  • The mobile menu can be navigated using the keyboard.
    • Trap focus added to mobile menu.
    • Use Tab / Shift+Tab and Enter to move through a menu and select a menu item.
  • A screen reader will now announce if a menu item is a submenu.
  • Rather than listing every item in a menu, a screen reader will read aloud a menu item's place in the menu (ex: " Cat food, 3 of 7").
