Pick List Overview

NOTE: This article discusses "Pick Lists" for all versions of FieldStack after the 2017 Marketplace Update.  If you are using a version of FieldStack that predates that, please refer to the Pick List Overview [Pre-2017 Marketplace Update] instead.

A “Pick List” is a list of all items in a specific “Picking Batch” that need to be sent out of your store.  In this context, sending items out of your store falls under the umbrella of fulfilling "Marketplace Orders".

"Marketplace Orders" Refers To:

  • Customer Orders Placed on Your Webstore
  • Customer Orders Placed on Another Online Marketplace (EX: Amazon)
  • Store to Store Transfers

A Pick List is used to collect items during the process of fulfilling these “Marketplace Orders” – a process which is covered in depth here.  However, in this article we will focus on only the Pick List itself.

How to Access a Pick List

You can find all open Pick Lists in the Batch List on the Picking Batch Screen.

More information on the Picking Batch Screen

and how to access it can be found here.

To view a Picking Batch’s Pick List, click the printer icon in the “Pick List” column.

Clicking on the printer icon will open a preview of the Pick List:

Navigating a Pick List

Depending on the number and size of orders in the Picking Batch, this Pick List may be two or more pages.

Much of the process of completing a Pick List is similar to that of an Upstocking List (also referred to as “dot list”).  Items on a Pick List are items that need to be found an pulled from your sales floor and set aside to be sent out.

By default, “New” items will be listed first, and “Used” items second.  Within these two sections, items with the same Type (Books, CDs, DVDs) are listed near each other.

If you'd prefer items on the Pick List be listed by OrderId instead, the necessary steps are outlined in the Marketplace Fulfillment Overview.

On the left-most side of each item on the Pick List, there is a space to mark off that you’ve found the item:

Next to that space, is a bolded number that represents how many of that item you will need:

Below is “Leave: X”, which indicates how many of that item you should leave on the shelf:

  • If you only have 1 of an item in stock and 1 of that item was ordered, then you will leave 0 on the shelf:
  • If you have 2 of an item in stock and 1 of that item was ordered, then you will leave 1 on the shelf:

Like an Upstocking List, a Pick List displays an item’s UPC and a barcode to scan, should you need to look at the item’s listing:
