The SCO / Register Analysis dashboard is intended to show how your customers are using regular registers and self checkout in your stores. On this report you will see the overall basic sales metrics & how those metrics apply to the type of register. In the filters to the right of the dashboard, you will want to narrow the report to "Register" and "Self Checkout" as the In Store Register Type - these options apply to your In-Store activity. You will see trends by day & time, and comparisons of which products are scanned at the different register types. There are pivot tables where you can add and remove fields to expand or narrow the summary of the metrics.
It is important to note that the data considered begins with the date on the heading panel of the dashboard, under Earliest Transaction Date. This means that your trends and filtered data will start with the transactions on this date.
You will see a link to this document in the top of the dashboard, under the heading Dashboard Help.
The first couple of charts show the percentage allocation between regular registers and your self checkouts - these are for sales dollars and number of transactions. Next are graphics that compare your sales metrics by register type for the ATV, Items per Transaction and AUV, and further show you how your customers & guest shoppers use each type.
The next set of graphics are trend lines that will show register usage by weekday and in time increments. As you study the ebbs & flows of these trends, consider the peak usage times - are you able to open the right number of SCO lanes during peak times to reduce wait times? Are your customers using the SCO lanes only at certain times of the day? In many cases, your regular register lines will tend to dominate the chart - you can click on the legend to toggle that line off & see the SCO line come into sharper focus.
In the Product Categories section, you can see which products are moving through your registers & SCO lanes. This chart shows the number of transactions where the product type is included. You are likely to want more detail on some of these categories - in the pivot tables below, you can add and remove fields as needed to drill further into the details. Which categories are purchased in your SCO lanes? Are your lanes setup to accommodate that type of product?
Look to the pivot tables for more granular detail. You can right click in the tables to add and remove fields. This will expand and contract the details in the tables.
Any of the data tables can be exported to work with the data outside the dashboard. Do this by clicking on the 3 dots at the top right corner of the widget, choose Download and export an image or file. The recommended file type for a spreadsheet is CSV.
