New Features

Default or No Default Store Location

Two new back end settings allow you to define what a customer sees before they log in or set their store.

Select Store – Set your default to no store, and users will need to select a store to as they navigate the site for the first time.

Default Store – If you have a pre-determined store from which most products ship, FieldStack can define that location to be preselected for customers before they select their nearby location for BOPIS or Local Delivery.

Note: If a customer does not select a store, their order will be pre-selected as Standard Shipping. To pick BOPIS or Local Delivery, they will select a store on the checkout page (below.)

Exclude Standard Shipping

Items that were determined to be too weighty or challening to be shipped can now be excluded from Standard Shipping option by setting Additonal Type to No Internet Sales. Previously this required special handling to ensure customers could still order for Local Delivery or BOPIS and would alter how itemavailability rendered.

Marketing Consent

Below: A Marketing opt-in message can now be added to the Cookie Consent overlay when a customer visits the webstore. If you would this enabled, please contact FieldStack support or your account manager to have the setting enabled and for assitance in editing the Lcoal String Reources which populate the message.

Improvements

BOPIS Availability - Previously, when rendering an item’s availability for BOPIS, the system would look at stores that were nearby to a customer’s selected store. This is now controleld by a setting and allows you to enable or disable this function. Disabling would show availability only if the customer’s selected store had available stock.

Bug Fixes
 

Order Total Visual - Order Details on a customer’s count page would previosuly remove a Surcharge from the item subotal, thus offsetting the Order Toal visual by twice that amount. This did not have a finacnial impact but affected the customer view. This has been rectified.

Multi-State Handling on Coupons - Shipping Surchage coupons have been updated to correctly handle all state restrictions defined on the coupon.

Passwordless Login via OTP/SMS

The foundation is being made to allow customers to login into the webstore by entering their phone number, which in turn triggers a text with a code that will allow them to login with diminished friction.
