FieldStack Install: Create a Configuration Key

If you are installing FieldStack on a new computer to replace a current computer, you can create a configuration token to copy all the settings onto the new machine.

1. Click on the Options tab, then click on Configuration Management.

2. Choose the machine that is being replaced. Expand the company name, office location then click on the machine that is being replaced.

3. In the machine settings, click on Generate Configuration Token in the lower right.

4. A quick configuration token will be generated. You can keep it, or edit it to be a different value of your choosing. You can also click Regenerate to randomly create a different value. Click OK to continue.

5. Click Save Machine Settings. If you don't save, the token changes will not take place.

After creating a quick token for the machine, you can use it when installing FieldStack on the new computer to copy over all the settings. You can read more about how to use the quick token on this page.

Note: Tokens can only be used once. Follow steps 1-5 again for the same machine if needed.
