1 - Download

In order to install FieldStack on your machine you will first need to download the installer, found here at this link

Once you have clicked the link from FieldStack support to download the installer file, you should see a file named "FieldStackInstaller" with the following icon located in your default download location.

2 - Install

From here you can move the FieldStackInstaller.exe file to all of the machines you intend to install FieldStack on. Double click the icon for the installer and reply to any User Access Control prompts as necessary.

The FieldStack installer should start to run at this point and a green progress bar will show you how far along the process is in real time.

Once this completes you will be led to the following screen

You can simply click Next on this screen to proceed.

3 - Configure

The next screen will ask you for your company sign-in information.

from this point you have two options to continue:

3a - migrating prior setup (copying old FS config from a separate machine)

In some cases where you may be replacing an existing machine (like a user got a new laptop and you  just wanting to keep all the same settings), a Quick Configuration Key can be used to continue installation.

3b - new installation setup

If you are setting up FieldStack as a fresh install (i.e. a new user's computer, adding a new register to a store location, etc), continue on with this article.

Input the Company Name, User Name, and Password supplied to you here. Click Next and you will be brought to the Location selection window:

This window prompts you to select the location this machine will be assigned; select the one that applies to this particular machine's location and click "Next".

On this page you are prompted to select a register number and machine name for this installation. 

• Register Number: This will often be based off the number of previous machines you have already installed in this location (ex. if this is the 5th machine you have set up, you could put a register number of "5"). This can however, be any number between 1 and 254 so you can use any system you would like that fits your store best.
• Machine Name: This will be the name of the machine in the FieldStack program. Again you can use whatever convention is best for your business to easily distinguish between the machines at your location.

Once these have been filled in, click Next and proceed to Machine Configuration screen:

You can set specific settings for the machine you are installing on here. If you are uncertain what settings you need at this time you can click Save Machine Settings and the machine will have the default settings applied. It is recommended to leave the default settings unless you are certain about changing a particular setting, as these settings can also be changed later from within FieldStack at any point.

You will then be brought to the Login window:

After you have input your username and password you can either hit the enter key on your keyboard or click the FieldStack button underneath the store name to finish signing in.

Congratulations! You have completed installing FieldStack on this machine at this point and can follow these steps for any further machines you may have.
