Specialty Tax by State

Modified on Tue, 11 Jun at 3:22 PM

Items in FieldStack can have differing taxation based on State. This uses the Attribute management system.

At the point of sale, the attribute will trigger the system to check the taxability results on that item type based on the TaxJar taxation information. This is based on the address of the store location. The process that checks items during cash-wrap must also be turned on for each location by FieldStack.

The item list and taxability attributes should be handled at the client-level.

If the state changes the taxability of the items you have applied to that Attribute, the information received from TaxJar API will change and the items will ring up based on the new taxation rule.
