Welcome to the new FieldStack Marketplace and Web Store!
There are all kinds of new features that we will go through step by step, to demonstrate how to:
- Create Attributes that will define product groups, and become filters for Sections
- Manage products based on Attributes and virtual case quantities
- Add additional images to product with the new image tab inside Item Edit
- Create new "Sections" that will become searchable Filters on the Web Store
- Create new pages
- Use the new WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) Editor
Step 1: Creating Attributes and Applying Them to Products
Attributes are differentiating characteristics of otherwise similar items. This may include sizes, flavors, or colors. Creating product attributes and defining their values should be the first critical step you take before you create any Sections or new pages, or manage products. This is the basis of how the Web Store system searches, uses Filters, and all the Section-based pages.
Attribute Management can be found in the Inventory Tab in FieldStack. (Pictured below)

Managing the products that you want to appear in the Web Store is a key component of creating the new online store, so be sure to do this first. You may find yourself returning to this step to edit Product Variants, or create new Attributes you thought of along the way.
Step 1.2: Virtual Case Creation
FieldStack now has the ability to create "virtual" Web Store only cases of product based on an item's case quantity in store. For example, in store, a clerk would simply scan out 12 cans of the same canned food item. There are no "cases" in store. Now, on the Web Store a customer can order a single case 12 cans of food in bulk. This is made possible by the new virtual case functionality in FieldStack.

Step 2: Create Sections Based on Attribute Values
After you have prepared the products you wish to sell on the Web Store, it is time to create the framework that will help display them on a new Web Store page. Sections will be essential to attach to Category pages or even Content pages in later steps. If you do not have a Section ready before you create a new page, you won't be able to add any items to that page yet.
You can find Section Management just above the Attribute Management button previously used in Step 1, in the Inventory Tab in FieldStack beside Find Item (Advanced). This detailed How To article can lead you through creating Sections and using Attribute Values to define them. Remember: If you don't have the Attribute Value you want, you can always go back to Step 1 and create that Attribute, assign a Value to the products you're looking for, and return to create the Section.
Steps 3, 3.1, and 3.2: Create New Pages
Now you've set up your Attributes, applied them to the items for your Web Store, and created a Sections framework based on the Web Store setup you're creating. Let's make some pages and attach some Sections to them.
You can find the Edit Web Store Content button in the Marketplaces tab in FieldStack. It will open the Web Store Content Management tab, which will allow you to create, edit, and manage your Web Store pages.
There are two types of pages that can be created for the online store: Category pages (based on Sections) and Content pages (based on your content edits). With the new WYSIWYG editor, it is much easier to upload and adjust images, apply styles and color to text, and use elements such as a horizontal bar to separate sections of a new page.
