FieldStack Mobile Version 11.9/11.10

LOGIN CHANGES

Direct login after initial login – The initial login pairing between handheld and desktop device will be maintained by the handheld. If the session expires or a user is kicked out for some reason, a login screen on the mobile device will allow them to continue in place.

If another user picks up the device, they can login on this screen and take over the use of the handheld.

Adjust timeout per location – A Location Setting has been added to allow the default timeout for FieldStack Mobile to be set. For example, a store could be set to have a 20-minute logout, while the warehouse could be set for 4 hours, or 8 hours. This allows for continuous use.

DIRECT TO BIN RECEIVING

Settings have been put in place to allow Warehouses to function with or without a default staging location. With staging turned off, a user can define the storage locations when receiving and putting away items.

Note: Exposing ST2 in multiple areas of the application caused some fields to be moved. Focus order and overall functions should remain unaffected.

Direct to Bin Receiving allows a user to input the bin/storage location:

  • Receive to
  • Put Away from
  • Put Away to
  • Bin to Bin (ignores staging completely/not needed with Direct to Bin receiving)

Assigned Receiving Bin locks a default location for:

  • Receive to
  • Put Away from
  • Bin to Bin (moves items to Staging from which they must be Put Away)

Note: Send > Bin to Bin now replicates the format of Put Away. If a staging location is defined, it appears as the origination bin or the destination bin.

SETTINGS & ADMIN

Hide Cost and List Price on Receive – Two Location Settings have been added to allow the Cost and List price to be hidden from the Receive screen.

Label printing can be turned off – A location setting has been introduced to suppress the 4” x 6” labels from printing during Receive.

Inventory Adjust can be hidden – A location setting has been introduced to turn off the Inventory Adjust feature on screens where it previously showed. This would block the feature regardless of the permissions of the user.

Last Seen Date/Time – Configuration management for administrators will show the last transaction or log in on a Hand Held device that represents a device in the device list.

INTERFACE CHANGES

Select Purchase Order sort/filter – Receive mode overflow menu will allow users to sort in alpha or numeric order. The PO Reason filter allows the user to select the vendor or reason from a pop out list.

Done Button - Removed from Receive Mode and Send Mode.

Pick Screen Changes

Pick by Zone/PO/Clustered in Warehouses, Pick by PO in stores, and Marketplace Pick have been edited to improve clarity and consistency.

  • On Store Picks and Marketplace Picks, Qty to Leave has replaced Qty to Keep or
  • Picked and Qty to Pick have replaced Quantity to Pull
  • Quantity Pulled has been removed
  • Qty to Pick is highlighted in blue for clarity

Reference field

Reference field – A Location setting allows a Reference text to be added during Receive and Put Away. This is free text and can be used for things like Batch, Lot, or Expiration Date. Although currently saved to the back end, this can be reported on and will ultimately be visible in the FieldStack application in Item List > History Tab.

NON-FUNCTIONAL CHANGES

Unpickable Bin/Storage Locations

Warehouse Bin Management allows storage locations to be set as Reserved. If checked, the location will be ignored by the Pick and Transfer generation. The items in the storage location will be considered unavailable & unpickable. This allows locations to be out of reach, outside the building, in box trucks, quarantined, etc.

Bin to Bin transaction type

Put Away and Bin to Bin are now treated as relocations. A new transaction type (98) has been created to show these relocations. Sending an item from one location to another sends and receives the items at a net costing change of $0.00 and is not reflected on accounting reports.

The item history tab shows Bin to Bin Transfer and the code for the storage location/tote/bin that the item was moved in and out of.

Bin to Bin Transfer appears in Find Transaction and can be used in searches.
