New Feature: Return From Receipt

How to initiate:

1. Search Invoices on POS
2. Edit Customer > History

When you select Return from Receipt, all eligible items will be presented in a window showing each SKU by quantity, with a check mark that allows each SKU to be included or excluded. Deselecting any item will recalculate the tax and total return value.

After tapping Return to Sale, all selected items and tax amounts will populate the transaction screen in a credit state.

Line items in the original transaction that are not eligible for return, will not be included in the Select list.

Note: Return from Receipt uses “Return Value” on each item line. If a coupon was used that applies to the whole sale, the value of each line item will be reduced based on the percentage of the coupon. This differs from the receipt view, which lists the discount as its own value as a separate line item.
Future improvements will be made to this feature as we get feedback.

Improvements

Penny Rounding – The penny rounding value on Cash Sales (if enabled) will show on the receipt as a line item.

Bug Fixes

Loyalty Banner – In the most recent version of the POS, the banner alerting the clerk that a customer had a loyalty program applied or usable would sometimes not show after the customer and items were added to the transaction. The banner has been fixed and will persist.

Special Order alert – After a customer was added to the transaction, the alert of “Orders Here” / “ On the way” would sometimes leave the screen due to recent payment alert coding. These have been programmed to act independently of each other.

Last Item Scan could be lost is FieldStack was closed – If a clerk was in the middle of a customer transaction, and the application is closed by the user or due to an error, the last item scanned would not be persisted in the transaction. Upon reload of that screen/tab, the last item would be missing and a sale could be finished accidentally without it. This has been rectified.
