Relabel Mode allows item labels to be reproduced without affecting inventory on those items.
Situations where you'd want to relabel an item might include:
- An item's current price sticker is out of date and doesn't reflect the current item price
- An item's price sticker has come off
- An item's current price sticker has become unscannable
- The sticker originally printed for an item was misplaced or accidentally thrown away
- A customer has decided not to pick up a special order item for which a customer order label was produced, and a new shelf label is needed.
Relabeling Product
To access Relabel Mode, tap the orange Mode Selector button in the top left:
In the menu that pops up, tap Relabel or select CTRL + L on the keyboard.
Before scanning items, ensure your toggles are set.
Label Type
Relabel mode defaults to the Default Label Type that is assigned on each item scanned. In general this will function for this mode. If you have shelf talkers defined, you can select Shelf Talker from this dropdown. If items in your database are assigned to Shelf Talker or no label, you can select Price Label to ensure labels print out.
Item Condition
If you handle items by condition, make sure your New/Used toggle is set before each batch of items is scanned. Anything scanned after the toggle will relabel based on how this is set. If you scan an item's existing price label, the New and Used toggle will automatically select the condition contained in the sticker's barcode.
Print Labels
This will be checked by default.
Allow Transfer
This should generally remain unchecked. If your location is set up to transfer items to other stores based on need, and the goal is to have some items rebalance, select Allow Transfer. Labels will print with the location number to which an item should be sent. If your location is not programmed to transfer items using this process, the toggle will not have an effect whether checked or unchecked.
Note: Selected condition, label type, and Allow Transfer options stay selected until changed, and only effect items which are scanned after selection (in other words, if you have scanned items into the screen under one group of options and then change those options, the already-scanned items will remain scanned in with the previous options).
Once toggles are set, scan your items, changing the Qty and Price if needed.
To print your labels, tap Relabel [x] Items or [+] on the keyboard.
Labels will print from your assigned Zebra 1" x 2" label printer.
