Put Away is a mode reserved for Warehouse locations with Bins.
Put Away applies to items within a Staging Location that need to be shelved in the warehouse. Put Away will send the item in the designated quantity from the Staging Location to the WH Location and associate the quantity being put away with the bin you assign to the put away.
1. Tap Put Away
A UPC Search bar will appear
2. Scan the barcode of the item you are putting away or search it by keyword or item number. The form will fill with the item details and show bins where the item is currently located:
3. Type or scan the bin location code into the Bin field. Type the quantity you are putting away into the Quantity field. Both Bin Code and Quantity fields must be valid entries to process.
If you try to put away more than is available in staging the device will alert you (below), but will not stop you from processing. In general the number being Put Away should be equal to or less than the total on hand in Staging.
The Inventory list at the bottom will show other bin locations where the item has been Put Away and can be helpful for consolidation of products.
4. Tap Put Away after your valid Bin code and valid Quantity have been keyed in
A pop-up will alert you that your units have been put away. At this point the system will send the designated quantity from Staging and Receive the units into the Warehouse.
This will also immediately update the Warehouse quantity on hand, the quantity in the bin location, and the last received datetime into that bin. Warehouse on hand should always equal the total sum of the bins that contain that item. The sends and receives should be synchronized to keep them equal but it is possible for a processing error to cause these numbers to become out of sync. If you ever notice an item that has a WH on hand that is not equal to the sum of the contents of the bins, contact FieldStack for assistance in fixing whichever is in error.
5. After your item has been Put Away, move onto the next item or tap the collapsed menu icon in the upper left to return to the home screen.
