Overriding Stock Levels using Forecast/Minimum Quantity

Modified on Fri, 17 Nov 2023 at 04:03 PM

If you want to temporarily override the FieldStack generated recommended inventory numbers for an item, you can do this in the Forecast tab (also Used/Forecast tab if your store uses condition) after searching and selecting the product.  These guarantees/overrides will remain in effect until the expiration date passes.  This is a good way to make sure you have full shelves/end caps to help promote an item than might not normally sell at a high velocity; or to ensure a good stock an an item that is being introduced for the first time.

The numbers entered on this tab are considered to be minimums. If the system wants to order more, it will still do so.

If dynamic Forecasting is turned on at your chain, numbers will update and fill in nightly. If a user has entered a number, the system will not overwrite that number until the Expire date arrives.

A minimum of -1 will prevent the item from re-ordering at all.

Right-clicking on the "Expire" column header, gives you the ability to set all locations to be the same as the current, set a default number of days (so you just type the minimum number and the expire date automatically fills) in, or you can clear all which will revert you back to using the FieldStack generate values.
