Modified on Fri, 29 Mar at 4:03 PM

The top half of FieldStack’s “Marketplace Center” is dedicated to the Marketplace Order Search.  The Marketplace Center's “Search” tool is used to find Marketplace Orders for customer service. This article will detail features of the Search that were not covered in the Marketplace Center & Customer Service Overview

We recommend having read the Marketplace Center & Customer Service Overview prior to this article.  The Marketplace Center & Customer Service Overview can be found here.

How to Access the Search

To access the “Search” function, click the bolded “Search” button in the upper left-hand corner of the Marketplace Center:

Clicking “Search” will open this menu where you can define possible “Search” parameters:

Search Parameters

You can search for Marketplace Orders using a few different parameters.  Below, you can find the various ways to search and how to use them.

Customer:  You can use this to search for a specific customer’s orders.

There’s a couple of different ways you can search for a customer:

  • By Browsing: You can browse for a customer by clicking the button to the right of the field:
    • Clicking the button will open the “Find Customer” window:
  • By Identifier: If you know the customer’s name, email, or one of their account ids, use the dropdown menu to the right of the button to choose how you’d like to search for the customer:
  • After selecting the way you’d like to search for a customer, enter that information in the “Customer:” field:

Order Id/Item:  You can use this to search for a specific order using its Order Id, or for orders containing a specific item.

Depending on what you’re searching for, there are a couple of different ways to search using this field:

  • By Browsing: If you plan to search for orders that contain a specific item, you can browse for the item by clicking the button to the right of the field:
    • Clicking the button will open the "Item Search" window:
  • By Identifier: If you know the order’s Order Id, or the item’s GTIN, UPC, EAN, or item code, use the dropdown menu to the right of the button to choose how you’d like to search:
    • After selecting the way you’d like to search for this field, enter the information in the “Order Id / Item:” field:
    • Searching using OrderId will reset/override all other search fields

Condition: You can use this dropdown to narrow the search to only new or pre-owned (used) items.

  • You have the choice of “New” items only, “PreOwned” (or used) items only, or both “New” and “PreOwned” items, referred to as “All”:
  • By default, “Condition” will be “All” if you do not select a specific condition – meaning that both new and used items will be returned in the search results.

Begin End: You can use these date selectors to narrow down the search results to only orders placed within a specific timeframe.

Order Status: You can use this dropdown to narrow down the search results to orders with a specific order status – like “Delivered” or “Cancelled”.

  • To see all orders, regardless of status, select “All” from the “Order Status” dropdown menu:
    • Information on the most common Order Statuses can be found in this article.
  • By default, “Order Status” will be “Open” if you do not select a specific status – meaning that all active orders will be returned in the search results.

Fulfillment Status: You can use this dropdown to narrow down the search results to orders that have already been picked and scanned in, or orders that haven’t been picked or scanned in yet. In other words, you can choose to look at orders that have already started the fulfillment process or those that have not.

  • You have the choice of orders that have been “Picked”, orders that have not been picked (“Not Picked”), or both orders that have and haven’t been picked, referred to as “All”.
  • By default, “Fulfillment Status” will be “Not Picked” if you do not select a specific status – meaning that only orders that have not yet been picked will be returned in the search results.

Mail Class: You can use this dropdown to narrow down the search results to orders with a specific mail class – like “UPS Ground” or “USPS First Class”.

  • This filter can be helpful at the end of the day if you want to check that you don’t have any outstanding “Same Day Delivery” orders:
  • By default, “Mail Class” will be “All” if you do not select a specific mail class – meaning that all orders fitting the other parameters, regardless of mail class, will be returned in the search results.

Fulfillment Location: You can use this dropdown to narrow down the search results to orders that were fulfilled by a specific location – like your warehouse or Store X.

  • Selecting your eCommerce location will pull up a list of orders that likely need customer service:
    • More information about orders assigned to your eCommerce location can be found here.
  • By default, “Fulfillment Location” will be “All” if you do not select a specific location – meaning that all orders, regardless of fulfillment location, will be returned in the search results.

Searching & Resetting

After you have defined all search parameters, press the “Search” button:

If you need to reset the search parameters for any reason, click the "RESET" button:

Search Results & Views

An order’s status is displayed in the last column of the search results.  Depending on that status, the row may be highlighted red or orange.  More information about the most common Order Statuses can be found in this article.

You can toggle between the search results’ viewing configurations using the “Order View” and “Item View” buttons to the right of the bolded “Search” button:

Order View: this view, also referred to as the “By Order” view, shows two lists:

  • List of Orders: found in this view’s top pane, this list shows orders that match your search criteria.
  • Items in Order: found in this view’s bottom pane, this is a list of the items in the order that is selected in the top pane.

Item Viewthis view, also referred to as the “By Item” view, shows a single list of all of the items in all of the orders that match your search criteria:

Quick Search Views

Depending on company policy, there may be a series of quick search views available as well.  These views appear to the right of the "Order View" and "Item View" buttons:

These views can provide quick access to various types of Marketplace Orders that will typically require customer service attention.  Subsequently, a number of these views correspond to different Order Statuses.

More information about Order Statuses can be found in this article.
