NEW FEATURES

RIBBON BAR FORMATTING

The Ribbon Bar in the FieldStack Application has been altered in several ways. On the Inventory tab, Order Center, Inventory, and Vendors buttons are always expanded. Regardless of screen scaling all selections will include descriptions and will not collapse to icons-only. Other tabs with extensive selections have also been altered.

Less commonly accessed reports and forms will exist in the right-hand area and will be contained in dropdowns.

If the screen is scaled to a narrower resolution, arrow buttons will appear and allow the ribbon to be scrolled from either side.

Note that some user-specific reports and forms may have moved within the tabs. If something is not immediately visible, use the Ribbon Search at the top of the application.

CUSTOMER PRICE CODE ICON

Specific Customer Price Codes can now display a Default or Custom icon in the POS to give clerks awareness of who they are interacting with. This could be used to identify Employees, special club members, organizations that receive automatic discounts, etc.

In New POS, an icon can be displayed. These can be default icons applied by FieldStack, or custom 32 x 32 .svg files provided by you.

In the original POS, the text of the Customer Price Code will be displayed under the customer name.

Action Required:

If you would like to utilize this feature, please relay to your Account Manager or Client Success which Price Codes you would like to identify on screen and - if using the New POS - do you want a default icon or will you provide a custom one.

POINT OF SALE RESKIN

We continue to develop on the updated POS that is optimized for touch and accessibility. If you have not started utilizing this new POS format, but would like to, contact your Account Manager or Client Success.

GIFT CARD RECEIPTS

A new company level setting exists to allow Gift Card Receipts to print separately from the primary transaction receipt.

If multiple Gift Cards are purchased in a transaction with no other items, a summary transaction receipt will print followed by a receipt for each Gift Card.

The Gift Card Receipt, which includes abstracted Gift Card number and purchase amount, can be included with the gift card for the customer or giftee’s future reference if an amount is not printed on the Gift Card or noted on the Gift Card holder/envelope.

Ask FieldStack for assistance if you are unfamiliar with Settings.

IMPROVEMENTS

REPLENISHMENT GRID

Several changes have been made to the Replenishment Grid:

1. Added a summary at the bottom of grid showing the total for each item in the grid.

2. Added a summary to the right showing the total of each data point across all stores in the grid.

3. On Hand & Available have been combined into one cell in the same way they are represented in item list.

4. On Order & Waiting have been combined into one cell separated by a /.

5. Column highlighting and Quantity cell highlighting has been altered for readability.

VENDOR ORDER GRID

Item base cost has been added as a column.

HOLD SUMMARY RECEIPT

Employee name inclusion and/or formatting was changed to match standard receipt printing.

NEW POS: SALE COMPLETE

Published as 11.2.17 HotFix

Previously, when the Sale Complete dialog box was open, scanning a barcode or typing something followed by enter, would close the dialog and not search the item.

If a Gift receipt was printed, or the original Receipt was reprinted, followed by a scan or search, the entry would cause additional receipts to print.

The flow has been altered. If an item is scanned, the dialog will close and that item will be scanned into the search box, if anything is typed followed by [enter], the dialog will close and that string will be searched in the search box.

.Net FRAMEWORK/COMPONENTS UPDATE

FieldStack has been updated to .Net 8 and our component library for grids and other layout components in FieldStack has been upgraded to its latest version.

PAYOUT ITEMS ON RECEIPTS

Historically, Payout items, if added to a sale, would not show on transaction receipts. These items will now show the payout amount listed as ($#.##) like other credits.

These uncommon items have a Secondary Category of “Paid Out”. The items may include legacy paper gift certificates, yard care, snow removal, window washing, etc.

ORDERS > SEARCH ORDERS

For Vendors set up to send Bulk orders, the Search Orders tab would not show the Bulk Order checkbox when viewing the order details pop-up. This has been added to match what is shown in the Active Orders information.

BUG FIXES

  • Emailed Receipts - If a transaction contained a return for an item processed as not resellable, an associated ‘send’ would be included in the transaction. If the customer was set up to receive emailed receipts, receipts containing a ‘send’ would not trigger an email to be sent. This has been fixed.
  • Vendor Order Grid – For item variants that had size, style, and color, sorting could ungroup similar items in the grid. This has been fixed so sorting from the column header will re-sort other columns as needed to keep information grouped.
  • Replenishment Grid - Previously, items with negative on hand values in the warehouse would block activation of the grid even if the item in question was not going to be transferred. These "less than zero" items will now be ignored and the form can be processed.
  • Hold Summary Receipts - In New POS, the Hold Summary Receipt (if enabled and customer is brought up on screen prior to holding the items) will automatically print after a deposit transaction is completed when an item or items are held with an initial deposit. Previously this functioned in legacy POS but not in New POS.
  • Offline Login – During Offline resiliency events, some users, whose info may not have been cached, would be unable to login. This has been fixed so all users who have previously logged in should be able to log in during an offline event.
  • Invoice Entry Screen - On some computers at 125% resolution, the Save button would sometimes be cutoff and inaccessible in the lower right. The positioning and locking of the button has been altered to avoid this.
  • Marketplace Center - Communication tab would at times show information about an item that was not selected while viewing an order without Show All toggled. This has been improved to more accurately represent the exact item that is selected.
  • Credit Cards that were Swiped were showing as Clerk Keyed in Batch List. This has been altered to show as Customer Swipe.
  • New POS - Double Login - If client has logout after transactions and logout after idle minutes, it could cause a double logout issue.  If the Done/Sale Complete dialog wasn't acknowledged, the machine could trigger the idle logout and then clicking Done would trigger a 2nd logout.  The idle logout will now close the Done/Sale Complete dialog avoiding this issue.
  • New POS > Customers > License & Additional > Notes - Previously this box could be scrolled/read by clerks. In New POS the scroll feature was disabled and they could only read the first line. This has been updated to allow scrolling.
