POINT OF SALE CHANGES


QUICK ACCESS MENU



The Quick Access Menu makes product selection faster and easier than ever. This on-screen visual menu can be used to display items, and categories of items, that may not have barcodes or may not be easily scannable. Especially useful for items that are hard to lift onto the counter, things that are displayed outside the store, weight-based items without packaging, or services and add-ons such as Grooming, Bag Fees, Service Charges, or Donation listings.

Below: The Category and Item list are created and managed within the FieldStack desktop application. Preview mode allows administrators to see what Clerks and Customers will see on the POS or Self-Checkout.


Note: Version 12.0 offers this feature in POS. Self-checkout display 
will come at a future date.



WINDOWED MODE 

New POS can now run in a separate window instead of full screen, giving you flexibility to work with multiple monitors and applications simultaneously. If your team commonly needs to access outside sources of information for customer service, buyback pricing, or administration, this mode will help navigate to those tools without having to close the POS window.

Note: Using a non-Razor Monitor may not have consistent or desired results depending on the base resolution.


"NO RECEIPT" CUSTOMER PREFERENCE 

Customers who prefer not to receive receipts can now opt out entirely, helping reduce paper waste and streamline checkout. Manual receipt printing remains available when needed. This preference can be set within Edit Customer.

MULTI-SELECT TRANSFER PURCHASE ORDER

The Store Transfers tab now allows you to multi-select transfers to print, activate, or close them in bulk.


Note: If only a single row is highlighted, that row does not need to be checked. If any boxes are checked, only those checked will be activated/printed.




ORDER LIST IMPROVEMENTS

  • Refresh button allows the order list to be refreshed without closing and reopening.
  • Checkboxes have replaced the open areas which formally would apply an icon when clicked.
  • Send Orders button has been changed to Activate Orders


PERPETUAL INVENTORY TAB IMPROVEMENTS

Perpetual Inventory tab now shows detailed bin information including zone, type, category, and reserved status. The date/time was altered to show your local time instead of UTC time.


COPY UPCs FROM ITEM LIST

Copy an entire column in the Item List screen with two just two clicks! Useful for importing into reports without exporting an excel file first.


Click the column header to highlight the column. Right-click and choose Copy.




CROSSDOCK PERFORMANCE

Improved crossdock performance for large purchase orders. These orders would sometimes be extremely slow to load or would timeout.

 

MARKETPLACE SHIPPING IMPROVEMENTS

  • UPS label generation now automatically retries if authentication fails.
  • Postage selection grid updates correctly when changing carriers.

 

SCAN ERROR IMPROVEMENT

If enabled, UPC Not Found item scans in POS will show the scanned UPC on the red item line to help clerks locate the item that may not be in the system.

Note: This function is enabled by a Company Setting called “Alert user when Barcode/UPC not found.”



BUG FIX

Fixed issue where customer phone number input on Fiserv terminal after first item scan could cause lack of customer code pricing application.
