Improvements
Return from Any Receipt
A scanned receipt from another store can now be found and returned. Scanning a receipt barcode from a store outside the register's own Store Group previously found nothing. The system now falls back to a direct lookup, shows the originating store, and lets the return be completed and posted under the current store. Covers both the legacy and New POS search-invoices screens.
Return from Receipt - History Awareness
Return from Receipt now caps how much of a receipt can be refunded, by including only items and quantities that have not been previously returned. Accessing the Receipt subsequent times will only display unreturned items & quantities in the selection list.
Evergreen Purchase Orders - Vendor Level Control
A "generates monthly open order" flag has been added to Vendor Management. This flag allows you to to create and control your own Evergreen purchase orders that mimic the processes used for Inventory Adjustments, Missing/Found, Donations, Cycle Count, and other daily-use inventory change processes. Once a flag has been selected on a vendor, the first evergreen purchase order will generate on the first of the month, prior to start of business.
Payments
Fixed a rare way a card could be charged twice at the register — A second Pay or Enter press during a slow or interrupted keyed-card charge could send a duplicate charge to the gateway while the screen still showed an error. The payment screen now locks immediately once an approval comes back and ignores further presses while a charge is in flight; a handful of related void/retry edge cases were tightened at the same time.
Apple Pay transactions now get the same reporting fields as their card counterparts — Apple Pay payment types were missing transaction-type, item-code, and log-level values that reports rely on, so some Apple Pay charges miscategorized in reporting. Each Apple Pay type now inherits those values from its card equivalent.
Bug Fixes
Span Transactions coupon cap now works correctly for %-off and BOGO coupons — A lifetime-redemption cap on "Span Transactions" coupons was dividing dollars to count redemptions, which returned zero for percent-off, BOGO, and fixed-price coupons — so the cap silently never applied to them. Redemptions are now counted directly from the discount-detail records instead.
Fixed New POS screen artifacts left behind after a dialog closes — Follow-up to an earlier hotfix: some registers still showed the back office bleeding through the New POS header after closing a dialog like Find Customer, because that case didn't trigger the existing redraw. The redraw now also runs whenever the register regains focus.
