FS Mobile: Marketplace Picks

Modified on Fri, 7 Feb at 3:20 PM

Using the Marketplace Pick feature on FieldStack Mobile is the equivalent of having a paper list to aid in the collection of items. Whatever is scanned on the mobile device will be staged on the marketplace screen when you bring your picklist up to complete it.

When finishing your batch, the package details will pop up in the postage select window for each order allowing you to physically gather items, weigh them as necessary, and save the shipment info. Labels will print in one batch.

CREATING YOUR BATCH

Before using the mobile device, you will need to activate a new batch on the POS.

  1. Click the red icon at the top of the screen for priority orders or go to Marketplace Mode.
  2. Click on Current Orders.
  3. Click on Create New Picking Batch.

    4. A printable list will pop up on screen. You will not need this and it can be closed.

    5. Open the FS Mobile device by clicking the store name in lower left and scanning the QR code with your mobile device.

    6. Tap Marketplace Pick.

    7. Select your pick batch and tap next. If there is only one active batch, it will be pre-selected. Completed batches will show "(Complete)" and cannot be selected.

    8. Physically locate your first item within your location.

    9. Scan the item barcode.

    10. Update Quantity Picked.

    11. The Process button will become ungrayed and can be tapped.

    12. Tap Process to commit the pick.

    13. A confirmation box will pop up. Tap OK to confirm the item to your staged list.

14.  Locate and process all items in your pick list.

After processing the last item, the picking batch will be closed and you will be returned to the Marketplace menu.

If there were items that were not located, or you return to the main menu to resume the process later, a pop-up will ask you to keep or release the batch.

  • Release the batch if someone else may need to access it and complete it on another device later.
  • Keep the batch if you intend to come back to it later on the same device.

FINISHING YOUR BATCH ON THE POS

  1. Return to Marketplace Mode on the POS.
  2. Tap Current Orders.
  3. Tap the Select next to the batch you picked on FS Mobile.

Workflow Change: All items are populated on screen after you have scanned them on FieldStack mobile during your picking process.

Since all items are staged and scanned, Postage/Delivery Labels will not print in succession as they would have in the past.

Postage/Labels will print together.
If all orders are Curbside or Same Day Delivery, labels will print immediately after Finish Current Batch is selected.
If there are FedEx/UPS/USPS orders in the batch, the Postage Select pop-up will guide you to weigh and save each package in your batch before printing.

Once the batch is selected, all the items you located will be pre-scanned on the marketplace screen. Any skipped items or items that were not fully picked will remain in the right item pane in the scanning area. If you know these items will not be found (and it is okay with management) you can right-click to copy the UPC, open a new tab at the bottom of the screen, and send the item out of inventory in Send Mode. Otherwise, they should remain in the right pane and left on the batch or sent to a new batch when finishing the batch - depending on your location's process.

    4. After reviewing the item list, click Finish Current Batch.

    5. Your packages will come up in a list on screen. (If all orders are Curbside and/or Same Day Delivery the labels will print immediately.)  In the example below, within the top pane, there are three groups of items for 3 customers. The lower pane lists the items in that order.

    6. Review the first item list. Physically group your items based on the item list in the bottom pane. Weigh your order or select shipping if necessary. Click Save and Continue to save that shipping information and toggle to the next order. Click Save and Continue on each shipment as you review and group the items. (if you selected a single item/order, the Save button will read as Print Postage.)

    7. After you have clicked Save and Continue on the last package, you may get a pop up like the one below. If you had items you didn’t find in full, or items you skipped, you can select Close Batch and they will go to a future batch. If you have sent the items out of inventory, they will be pushed to another location if available. If no location has the item or it was a curbside/BOPIS order, it will push the order to the office or customer service.
