Send Within a Warehouse*

*Location with bins, hereafter referred to as “WH w/Bins”

There are various reasons to send items. Within a WH w/bins you will use Send to transfer an item out to move it from one bin to another. You will also use it to send items out if they are missing, expired, damaged, need to go back to a vendor, etc.

1. Tap Send

2. Choose your send reason

3. Tap Next

4. Scan the item barcode

5. Type or scan the bin location you are sending from, as well as the quantity being sent

If you key in a number greater than the bin contains, it will show you an alert and you cannot process the send.

6. Wen the bin and quantity are correct tap Send

An alert will show: Sent!

The item in quantity that you sent will be removed from the Warehouse inventory and the inventory of the Bin you inputted.

Bin to Bin: If you select Bin to Bin your item quantity will immediately go into the Staging location in order to keep inventory balanced and accurate.

At this point the Bin to Bin item would need to be shelved using the Put Away mode. Or it can be kept in Staging in the system and put aside with other Staging items.

Other Send selections

Send selections that are not Bin to Bin will simply take the item out of Warehouse inventory and out of the Bin inputted. You would use these Send variations to account for items that need to leave inventory completely, and ignore Staging.

Otherwise they function in the same way as outlined above except they point to different open purchase orders and affect different GL Accounts.
