Point of Sale Search Results can be displayed in a grouped mode with filters. This is especially helpful for items with multiple variants (sizes, weights, colors) that are listed under the same item Name.
Entering a keyword into FieldStack POS search will bring up relevant, available items associated with that keyword. The system attempts to limit results by not showing all versions of a variant in the initial list. By default, items with a Stop Selling Date in the past will not show in search results.
If the setting is in place to default to grouped item search, results will show in a grid with an attribute selector on the left.
Within the left column, selecting any filters will reduce the item list in the right-hand pane.
While a single item is highlighted, if you need more details on that item, to check stock, or place a special order, etc., tap View Selected Groups.
This will bring up a list of all variants of that product in the standard item search view. (If there are no other versions of the item, only the item selected will appear in the Item Tab.)
From within this screen, all functions operate as usual.
If you have a short list that contains one of more variants, click on View All Groups to see all items associated with the current list of items on the list.
The results will show all items associated with the variants represented in the group panel.
In the group screen, you may also multi-select variants using [CTRL] + tap on each variant or tap + [Shift] + tap to select a list of variants. [CTRL] + click and click + [Shift] + click also works.
