Modified on Tue, 16 Jan 2024 at 09:50 AM

FieldStack's "Postage Select Screen" lets you to manage Marketplace Orders' postage and packaging.  The screen will automatically open after you scan all items for a Marketplace Order during the marketplace order fulfillment process.  This article will cover the features of the Postage Select screen that were not discussed in the Marketplace Fulfillment overview.

We recommend having read the Marketplace Fulfillment overview prior to this article.  The Marketplace Fulfillment Overview can be found here.

The Postage Select screen can be broken down into 5 major parts, as shown in the diagram below:

  • Order Selection: This section allows you to search for a specific order by item, UPC, or using its order number.
  • Mailing Logistics: This section suggests packaging, package carrier, and mail class for the selected package.  It also provides the estimated weight of the package.
  • Package List: This section displays a list of packages associated with the order.
    • The following information for each package is provided:
      • Customer: Customer’s name
      • Packaging: Suggested form of packaging
      • Items: Number of items in the package
      • Package Carrier: Package carrier for the package (EX: USPS)
      • Ship Date: Expected date package will be shipped (generally today’s date)
      • Weight: Dynamic weight of the package
      • Lock: A button to lock the weight of the package after final weigh in
  • Package Contents: This section lists the contents of a selected package.
  • Shipping Information: This section displays the customer’s shipping address for the selected package.

A Note on Intelligent Package Grouping:

By default, FieldStack intelligently groups orders that have been placed by the same customer, using the same shipping address, and being sent through the same mail class into a single package when possible.

FieldStack will also prevent you from grouping items into the wrong packages, so there’s no need to worry about accidentally moving an item to the wrong package.
