FieldStack Release Notes 6.15

Modified on Thu, 17 Jun 2021 at 10:22 AM

6.14 was never generally released, so notes from that version are here as well.

Improvements

  • Improved duplicate prevention with PAX/TSYS integration.  Occasionally an error would be returned that we interpreted as a decline and a successful charge would actually be in the terminal we didn't know about.   We would charge the customer again and they'd end up with a duplicate charge.  We should now be able to see that charge when attempting to make the subsequent charge and use that initial approval.
  • BOPIS/Curbside completion bar code is now labeled and the text representation below the bar code now has the "*" at the beginning in and the end that are needed if a clerk needed to type the value into the Point of Sale.
  • Ability to specify Ordering Units at the Vendor level.  EA (Each) is the default if nothing is specified.  Other possible values are CS (Case), BX (Box), etc.  This value will be used on EDI Orders.  This is to be used in conjunction with Case Size, In Box Item Quantity and Is Box Type (If you want to order 1 CS and have that be a case of 24, change Ordering Unit to CS, Case Size to 24 and Is Box Type to True).   Printed and Emailed orders will continue to order the actual unit quantity.  If you want a printed or emailed order to utilize this functionality, please contact support and we can setup a customer vendor order template.

  • In the employee edit screen, the Employee Full Name can now be up to 40 characters from previous 20 character limit.
  • The Loyalty button for Buy X type loyalty programs on the point of sale now brings the full details of the customer's active loyalty programs.  Previously there was a summary type box that then allowed access to the full details.
  • When creating a new Buy X type loyalty program  you can now specify if the reward is average value or traditional buy X (free item)
  • Year Variable Available in Email Templates - One use case of this is to add a copyright date to footers
  • On shipping confirmation email, there is now a tracking link placeholder that can be used to create a link a customer can click on to view the tracking history.
  • New notification type.  The buyer of electronically fulfilled item can now get a notification that it has "shipped".  Presently they only get the order confirmation and the recipient of the electronically fulfilled item gets the email.
  • Closed Customer Accounts not shown in Point of Sale lookup by default
  • In Webstore Content Management, sections that are hidden now in the list as a lighter gray color.  sections that are visible for admins only are italicized.
  • In Marketplace Customer Service, when searching by order-id, the search parameter for order status and fulfillment status, now change to "All".  Previously it would stay at whatever you had searched last, typically only showing Open and Unfilled orders.  If you've changed either of these from their default, they will not automatically change to "All"
  • Webstore Error button now available on Find Customer Results screen.  Previously you had to go into the Cart area to see that button
  • In Time Clock management, Notes are now labeled as Punch in and Punch out notes.  Previously it was hard to differentiate when the note was added.

New Features

  • Postage Scale Setup Screen - Users can now configure an integrated postage scale in FieldStack settings.  The screen will detect active scales and allow you to choose and test the scale to confirm compatibility.
  • Manually Add Items To Amazon Marketplace. If you are configured for Amazon, you can now manually list items and set your base/lowest price and any reserve quantity.  From that point, FieldStack will manage the listing, never dropping the price below you base price, but raising it above when that allows you to remain the lowest.

Refactoring

The following reports and areas were re-written to meet current standards and practices.  Little or minimal visual differences should be noticed.

  • BCR Reporting Overall - Now tracking usage and running them in a less intensive way
  • Vendor Quantity on Hand Report
  • Buyback Grading Report
  • Add Items to Promotions Panel
  • Ticket sold report
  • Store Group Selector
