Use a coupon for taking a certain percent off any online order, one time use per customer.
Create a coupon. In this example, the coupon is in a promotion for online discounts.
Coupon Settings
Fill out the following settings for a manually applied coupon that takes a 20% off any online order, valid once per customer.

Coupon Code | Choose the coupon code (this is customer facing and will be displayed at checkout) |

Items
For the coupon to apply to any online order, don't include a Buy Quantity or any Buy Items.
Bottom of Form Settings
The coupon should be online only. Choose the store group for online orders and set the start and end dates for when the coupon will be available.
