This guide provides an overview of setting up and managing your FieldStack Web Store. Each section links to detailed articles for step-by-step instructions.
Setting Up Your Web Store
Setting up your web store involves four main steps, done in order:
1. Set up Attributes
Attributes are the characteristics that differentiate similar items - like size, flavor, or color. You'll create attribute types and values, then apply them to your products. This is what allows customers to select product variants online.
2. Set up Product Images and Virtual Cases
Add images to your product listings so customers can see what they're buying. If you sell items in bulk (e.g., a case of 12 cans), you can create virtual cases that allow online customers to order at case quantities.
3. Create Sections
Sections are rules based on item attributes that control how products are grouped and displayed on your web store pages. You need to create sections before building pages.
4. Build Pages
Use the Web Store Content Management tool to create your pages. There are two types:
- Category Pages - display products filtered by a section (e.g., "Dog Food", "Cat Toys")
- Content Pages - display custom content like informational text, promotions, or landing pages
Both types support a WYSIWYG editor for formatting text and adding images.
