Launching the Point of Sale

  1. Go to POS Tab.
  2. Tap Point of Sale.

    3. The POS launches in a separate window that overtakes the primary computer screen. By default it will open in POS/sale mode.

Note: CTRL + J on the keyboard launches and toggles the POS and FieldStack application. (This hotkey will not work if an alert dialog or form is open.)

Mode selector

On each of the 9 tabs (back screens), the mode is chosen using the orange Mode Selector at the top of the screen.

All primary functions of the POS can be found using the Mode Selector button.

For fast access to modes, the legacy hotkeys can be used:

  • Receive - CTRL R
  • Send - CTRL S
  • Relabel - CTRL L
  • If no items are on screen, the primary POS can be returned to by tapping the [+] key on the keyboard to "leave" the mode.

Marketplace Mode is accessed within the POS tab on the FieldStack application and can be found next to the Point of Sale button.

The Home Button hides the POS

(CTRL + J on the keyboard)

  • The POS will leave the screen and appears to close.
  • If any uncompleted transactions exist when Home is tapped, they will re-populate the tabs when the POS is re-launched.

Leaving POS Mode

When an action in POS Mode attempts to launch a tab or form in the FieldStack application, a confirmation window will open.

Sale Complete

The right panel shows when a sale is completed.

  1. Reprint Receipt is available until Done it tapped.
  2. Gift Receipt is available until Done is tapped.
  3. Sale Complete panel will stay open until Done is tapped.
    • If “auto logout after transaction” is set to true, the login box will pop up directly after the Sale Complete panel appears.
    • If logout is time-based (e.g. 5 minutes), the login box will pop up once time has passed regardless if the Sale Complete panel is closed by tapping Done.
    • If a user needs to log out to step away from the computer, they will need to tap Done (or [Enter] on the keyboard) before using ALT + END or before accessing the footer bar logout.
